A Revision of Ceramic Painting
This one hour online session is exclusively for participants who have completed our beginners workshop and want to refresh all the painting techniques. The format of this session is a 30 minute demonstration of overglaze painting techniques, a discussion of commonly observed errors and misconceptions followed by 30 min of QnA with the participants.

What you will learn
- Mixing colours to the right consistency
- Reviving dry colours
- Painting solid and translucent strokes with the right evenness
- Blending colours with a sponge
- Adding details by carving, layering colours
QnA
If you’ve had the opportunity to create something using your practice kit and you’d like feedback on it or if you have questions surrounding any challenges in the process or outcome, we will be taking your questions in this part of the workshop. We will be limiting questions to 30 minutes.
Do I need to have a kit?
No, this session does not require participants to have a kit. The nature of this session is a live demonstration followed by QnA and a discussion, so you can make notes during the session and practice later. If you do have a kit, you can practice alongside the session as we demonstrate the techniques.
